Alexey Pesoshin meets members of the Czech delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jiri Koliba

On September 26, at their meeting in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin and members of the Czech delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jiri Koliba discussed issues of further mutually beneficial cooperation.

Pesoshin thanked Czech colleagues for their attention paid to issues related to the development of regional cooperation as part of Russian-Czech relations. He also noted that Tatarstan and the Czech Republic are actively cooperating in many areas.

Tatarstan Prime Minister said that in the first half of 2017, the mutual foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and the Czech Republic amounted to 202 million US dollars, which is significantly higher than in the same period last year.

He continued that cooperation can be developed in such areas as innovation and information technology. Moreover, the infrastructure available in Tatarstan, including special economic zones, technology parks, industrial sites can also contribute to the promotion of economic cooperation.

In their turn, representatives of the Czech delegation said that a regular meeting of the joint working group at which further steps regarding economic cooperation were identified had already taken place.
