Foreign trade turnover of Tatarstan Customs Service increases by 14 per cent in 2018

On January 22, speaking at the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic at a summing up meeting on the results of work of Tatarstan Customs Office in 2018, Head of the Office Albert Mavlikov said that the foreign trade turnover of the Regional Customs Office increased by 14 per cent as compared to 2017 and made 4 bln dollars, including the Volga E-Customs Service, in 2018.

As many as 1,158 participants of foreign trade activity carried out commercial transactions through Tatarstan Customs Office in 2018 and 1,139 participants carried it out the year earlier.

The volume of shipped cargo exceeded 4 million tonnes, including 1.1 million tonnes of imported goods and 3.1 million tonnes of those for export, the speaker concluded.

Mavlikov noted that a total of six foreigners used the tax free system at the Regional Customs.

The meeting also emphasized that Tatarstan Customs Office was recognized the best customs team in the Volga Federal District by the end of the year.
