Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin meets First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Kenenbaev

On February 12, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Kenebaev discussed issues of cooperation and interaction in a number of areas.  

Opening the meeting, Pesoshin welcomed the members of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic, who are on a working visit in Kazan, on behalf of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Kyrgyz Republic is one of our important partners, and the growing turnover also attests to this point, Pesoshin said. He reminded that in the first nine months of 2018, the trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan amounted to more than 48.5 million US dollars.

The Prime Minister of the republic noted that the bilateral meetings of the leaders of Russia and Kyrgyzstan contribute to the strengthening of cooperation. Just on the 9th of February this year, the President of Russia and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic met in Sochi, he continued.

During his visit to the Kyrgyz Republic last September, Minnikhanov attended the World Nomad Games.

The meeting also discussed issues of interfaith relations, training in the sphere of theology, and work to boost bilateral trade.

The Prime Minister briefed about the socio-economic development of Tatarstan, the main economic indicators in 2018, and major ongoing projects. In particular, he noted that KAMAZ Automaker is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and Kazan will host the WorldSkills Competition this summer.

In his turn, Kenenbayev, stressed that the Kyrgyz Republic is ready to actively cooperate with Russia, including at the interregional level, in particular, with Tatarstan.
