Acting Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin takes part in the opening of the fifth Tatarstan International Automotive Forum

On February 26, at the Kazan Expo, Acting Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin took part in the opening of the fifth Tatarstan International Automotive Forum (TIAF) supported by Automechanika 2019.

About 150 enterprises from 13 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus, China, Germany, Poland, and Turkey are exhibitors at the event.

The automotive industry plays an important role in the economy of Tatarstan, Nigmatullin stressed speaking at the opening of the forum.

“We are pleased that today this is no longer separate production facilities at enterprises, but an automobile cluster, which is engaged in the production of both passenger and road freight transport, and automotive components. I hope that fruitful meetings will be held and new contacts will be established during the exhibition and the forum,” he noted.

In his turn, Director General of the Association of European Businesses Frank Schauff said that “the association is actively working in the field of the automotive industry and the automotive market in Russia. We have seen that this market is developing positively, and we hope that this trend will continue this year and that the exhibition and forum in Kazan will also develop.”

The Automechanika brand has been supporting the TIAF forum for the fifth time, Vice President of Messe Frankfurt GmbH Michael Johannes added. “In our opinion, the forum has found a new home in this beautiful exhibition centre. We want to congratulate Tatarstan on having such a wonderful infrastructure,” he said.

The exposition of the forum displays innovations of leading automakers, manufacturers and suppliers of spare parts, automotive components, equipment for servicing cars from Russia, Turkey and China, which will demonstrate their new products and the best products.
