Bolgar historical and archeological complex included in UNESCO World Heritage List

On June 23, at the 38th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Doha (Qatar) chaired by Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the decision was made about inclusion of Bolgar historical and archeological complex included in UNESCO World Heritage List. It was the 1002nd objects in the List.

Members of UNESCO World Heritage Committee are Algeria, Germany, India, Qatar, Colombia, Malaysia, Senegal, Serbia, Japan, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lebanon, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Philippines, Finland, Croatia, and Jamaica.

Advisor of Russia's Permanent Representative to UNESCO in Paris Konstantin Volkov, Tatarstan delegation led by Aide to Tatarstan President on social issues, CEO of Regional Foundation of the Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments Tatyana Larionova took part in the session.

Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Head of Spassky region Kamil Nugaev, Director of Russian Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D.S.Likhachev Pavel Yudin, Head of Volga Branch of UNESCO Department for preservation of urban and architectural monuments Rafael Valeev were on Tatarstan delegation.
