Tatarstan President takes part in solemn opening of Moskovsky Prospekt in Naberezhnye Chelny

On October 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Aide to the Russian President Igor Levitin, Deputy Head of the Federal Road Agency Andrey Kostyuk, and Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev took part in solemn opening of Moskovsky Prospekt (Avenue) in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Moskovsky Prospekt is a 14-km long avenue and one of four main highways in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Levitin congratulated town dwellers on the forthcoming holiday, Road Sector Workers' Day. “This prospekt is one of a number of projects implemented under the programme “Safe and quality roads” with the auspices of the Russian President. In 2017, as much as 36 bln roubles were allocated form the federal budget. Such projects are implemented in towns with the population more than 500 people and all roads in these towns will be repaired in a few years,” he assured.

Tatarstan President reminded that the Constitution Day of the Republic of Tatarstan will be celebrated soon: “This year we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan. Today we are opening this new avenue that has been repaired. I want to thank all road services that took part in the implementation of this project. More than 800 mln roubles have been spent on this works. We will continue this programme next year.”

Nail Magdeev thanked the Russian President and leadership of the republic.
