Aleksey Pesoshin unveils a memorial plaque in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Tatar ASSR executive authorities

On June 25, in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Osintsev took part in an unveiling ceremony of a memorial plaque in honor of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the regional executive authorities of the Tatar ASSR.

The memorial plaque was put up on the facade of the building of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan, where in 1920 the First House of Soviets was.

Here, 100 years ago, the Kazan Provincial Executive Committee transferred authority to the Provisional Revolutionary Committee of the Tatar Autonomous Socialist Soviet Republic, and its first authorities were established.

Pesoshin emphasized that the 100th anniversary of the TASSR is an outstanding event that appeals to the origins of the republic, its heroic path and modern statehood.

Mukhametshin expressed confidence that the unveiling of the plaque will once again draw the attention of Tatarstan people to the history of their republic.
