Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in session of organizing committee on preparation and holding of WorldSkills championship in Kazan

On June 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a video conference session of the organizing committee on the preparation and holding of WorldSkills championship in Kazan in 2019. The session was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Olga Golodets.

Olga Golodets noted that the main purpose of the championship is the promotion and increase of the quality of education in the sphere of skilled professions. Eighty four of eighty five territorial entities of the federation have already joined WorldSkills movement.

Golodets continued that the training of skilled specialists that requires secondary professional education is an urgent issue in many countries today.

Rustam Minnikhanov reported on the current situation saying that preparatory works are carried out according to the plan that had been approved before.
