Rustam Minnikhanov visits Kaleidoscope park in Kazan

On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva, Aide to Tatarstan President Nataliya Fishman, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, representatives of ministries and agencies of the republic took part in some events dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In particular, Minnikhanov visited the Kaleidoscope Park in Sytrlanovaya Street, that was improved as part of the programme aimed at developing public spaces in the republic. The first stage of works on the improvement of the park, the area of which is about 3 hectares, was carried out five years ago. This year, local residents took an active part in the discussion of the project. At their request, old game figures and statues remained in the park and a covered stage was replaced by the open one.

As part of park landscaping, works on gardening, the installation of small architectural forms, the renovation of the roadway, the expansion of sidewalks, and the installation of bicycles tracks were conducted. Also, the football ground was updated in the park, new lawns and flower beds appeared, and the automatic irrigation system was equipped. In total, 94 million roubles was allocated for the renovation of the park from the regional budget.

Congratulating the guests from the stage, Minnikhanov noted that a systematic work to improve public spaces is underway in Tatarstan. “This park has existed since the 70s, it was reconstructed several times. Finally, it was done for both children and adults. I congratulate you all on this event and ask you to treat this place with care”, he said and added that additional equipment will be installed n the park later on.
