Aleksey Pesoshin meets FISU President Oleg Matytsin

On September 10, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and President of FISU (International University Sports Federation) Oleg Matytsin discussed issues of implementing joint projects between the republic and the International University Sports Federation in 2020-2023.

Matytsin is on a working visit in Kazan to attend the events as part of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy 2019. This is the third FISU’s international educational forum, which takes place in Kazan with the support of the regional leadership.

Matytsin thanked the regional government for the support and attention Tatarstan is providing to this project. According to him, "this is an important and necessary project from the point of view of creating a positive image of Russia and one of its regions - Tatarstan." Moreover, according to President of FISU, this is a good opportunity to give a signal to the world through the youth that Russia is an open and modern country with a distinctive culture and traditions.
