Rustam Minnikhanov: “We appreciate support of our compatriots in Moscow”

On November 8, at a session of Russian Public Organization “Association of compatriots of Tatarstan”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan leadership appreciates support of compatriots living in Moscow.
Public, political, scientific and art figures, specialists of different industries, who are historically connected with Tatarstan, but live in Moscow, took part in the session.
The session was opened by Tatarstan Vice-Premier – Plenipotentiary of Tatarstan in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin, who told about achievements of the Association.
Addressing the audience, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Dear Moscovites, our compatriots! We are happy to see you. The potential of the republic is huge, but Moscow is the capital of Russia. I think we should use your potential for the benefit of our republic.”
The president noted that Tatarstan is among leaders by many social and economic indexes. “However, Moscow is our main trade partner, and we are actively working with federal authorities. We should maintain and enhance cooperation with Moscow,” he said.
“Each of you makes a considerable contribution to development of the country, and your support is very important for us. Regional leadership is ready to actively cooperate with you,” Rustam Minnikhanov said and handed a few awards.
Members of the board of the Association of compatriots of Tatarstan were elected at the session. Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Vice-mayor of Moscow Marat Khusnullin, people’s artist of Russia Sergey Shakurov, a famous surgeon Renat Akchurin, and other representatives of the republic became members of the Board.
Vice-President of Russian Academy of Sciences Taliya Khabrieva was elected Chairman of Russian Public Organization “Association of compatriots of Tatarstan”.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and confined to the International Day of Historical Monuments and Sites held in the Government House of the republic, the Aid to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova informed that in 2024 the Rebus Forum will be held on 14-15 November. She reminded that in the current year the forum will be named “Aglomerations: Experience, Opportunities. Challenges” and will be held with participation of China “as it will take place during the ROSTCI Forum.”
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with speakers and experts, investors, representatives of start-ups and venture funds, large corporations and development institutes took part in events of the “zero” day of the Russian Venture Forum dedicated to the topic of “Technological Entrepreneurship: the space of highest skills.
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin on behalf of the Government of the republic and the Director of the VOIN Center Igor Kazarezov signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the republic and the Center, which envisages interaction in issues of patriotic upbringing and military and sports training of youngsters.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Chairman of the Regional Committee on protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Ivan Guschin informed that in 2024 the Committee initiated historical and cultural expertise of nearly 100 sites and 20 archeological monuments to take them under state protection.
