Ravil Muratov: “We should achieve for each young man to get a profession before Army service”

Today the conscription to RF Armed forces has finished in Russia. Results of spring conscription campaign have been summed up at session of RT conscription board in House of RT government under chairmanship of RT First vice-premier - deputy chairman of republican conscription board Ravil Muratov.

By words of military commissar of Tatarstan Sergey Pogodin the spring conscription was well-organized upon the whole. Breaches or non-fulfillments of measures on conducting conscription in regions and cities were not revealed. This year 7 000 people from Tatarstan have gone to the Army.

Departures of citizens for serving in troops in accordance with fixed schedule approved by staff of Volga-Ural military district began on April, 19, 2010 and lasted till July, 11, 2010.

By words of Sergey Pogodin one of the reasons of such early departures was preparation for operative-strategic trainings “Vostok-2010” in Far Eastern and Siberian military districts.

This year for the first time conscripts (20 people) were sent to the Commandant Service of Moscow Kremlin of Russian Federal Protective Service – President’s regiment.

4104 conscripts with higher and secondary professional education went to the Army in spring conscription (57 % of fixed standards).

Most of all graduate students of Kazan state technical university (246 people) have gone to the Army. 3128 specialists prepared by system “Regional defense sport-technical organization - ROSTO DOSAAF of the Republic of Tatarstan” were sent for serving in troops.

Higher educational and secondary professional institutions greatly contributed into preparation of citizens by military-accounting specialities.

A large number of conscripts went to Central part of Russia – Volga-Ural, Moscow and Leningrad military districts.

Ravil Muratov thanked members of commission for work and reminded about the task set by RT President – to take for the fourth time the first place in contest of RF Ministry of defense for best preparation of citizens for military service, organization and conducting of conscription for military service among Russian regions.

Ravil Muratov also asked the employees of military registration offices and members of conscription commissions about not sending younger men without military specialities and professional education to the Army.
