Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in celebration of International Teacher’s Day

On October 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, and other officials took part in a solemn event dedicated to the International Teacher’s Day at Korston hotel in Kazan.

Rustam Minnikhanov addressed representatives of educational sphere with greetings:

“Dear workers of educational sector, our veterans. We are celebrating Teacher’s Day today. It is a very responsible, hard and important profession. Only you know that teaching is very hard. Human capital is number one capital, and the potential of any region is judged by its human capital, not finances or production capacities.

You make a great contribution to the republic’s achievements that are based on our educational system. Children’s preschool, school education and higher school are priority spheres that we will pay special attention to and support. You play the most important role in our work.”

Tatarstan President handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan, - medals “For valorous labour”, honorary titles “Honoured teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan” to 14 teachers.
