Rustam Minnikhanov holds a regular presidium meeting of the Investment Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

On October 9, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a regular presidium meeting of the Investment Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, which approved a number of investment projects.

A project for the construction of a bus assembly plant with the possibility of using gas engines, electric and hybrid motors in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone was the first the meeting considered. A representative of the investor company told the Сouncil about the development of the project, the expected investment, as well as about partners that will be involved in its implementation. The project implies a complex approach, including production of buses and their after-sales service.

The meeting reached an agreement to allocate land in the Alabuga SEZ.

Minnikhanov noted that the republic is interested in the implementation of this project.

The Investment Council approved a project for the construction of the Xiaoxiang-Volga Agricultural Park on bio-refining of plant products with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year. It is a pilot project implemented in Laishevo municipal region and is of social importance. Chinese investors are the project partners.

Then, the meeting considered a project to set up the Kamastal enterprise for painting coiled steel in the Pioneer Industrial Park in Nizhnekamsk. It is assumed that the products made by the enterprise will cover markets of Tatarstan, Russia, and later the CIS countries. A representative of the investor company asked the Council to speed up the process of obtaining technical specifications. 

A project for the construction of the Orange Fitness sports and fitness complex in Naberezhnye Chelny was presented next. The project is implemented as part of public-private partnership.

Rector of Kazan State Medical University Alexey Sozinov presented a project of establishing an innovative scientific and educational medical centre of the Kazan State Medical University. He said that partner companies have already been identified, adding that a contract with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada was concluded. The investor is a company from Saudi Arabia - Inter Health.

A project to build facilities for the production of skeleton-type structures and auxiliary elements of cooling towers for the development and implementation of innovative water-circulation systems was also approved.

Minnikhanov also offered to present this investment project at the next meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest-Holding.

Then, the Presidium of the Investment Council considered investment projects applying for the provision of land plots for lease without bidding in accordance with orders of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

At the end of the meeting, a project for the construction of a cultural and recreational complex in Orel rural settlement of Laishevo municipal region was approved.
