Rustam Minnikhanov suggests increasing the supply of Dagestan lamb meat to Tatarstan

On December 14, accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting Head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev, who arrived on a working visit in Tatarstan, visited the Eidos Center of Medical Science, the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park and IT-park.

At the academic and laboratory campus of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of the Kazan Federal University the representatives of Dagestan were told about the possibilities of the medical cluster, the system for training specialists, the development of the specialized scientific, laboratory and technological base. At the simulation centre the guests were shown automated simulator complexes for training practical skills. 

At the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park, representatives of Dagestan were informed about the work of the complex and were demonstrated trading halls and warehouses, got familiar with the work of the processing sector, were told about the sales system of farm products without intermediaries.

The agro-industrial park has cooperated with Dagestan famers. According to Director General of the park Oleg Vlasov, lamb meat and soft drinks are supplied from Dagestan. Vasilyev said that specialists from Iran appreciated the quality of lamb meat from Dagestan. The regional enterprises have already started to supply meat to the Middle East market, he added. In his turn, Minnikhanov suggested considering the possibility of increasing the supply of lamb meat to Tatarstan.

Later on the same day, Vasilyev and Minnikhanov visited the Kazan IT Park. Minister of Informatization and Communication of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov told the guests about the park's infrastructure, new opportunities for using information technologies in providing electronic public services, demonstrated the electronic document management system and the People's control project. Talking about feedback from the public, Minnikhanov said that the local residents can assess the quality of services provided in medical and social institutions using websites of state services.

The Acting Head of Dagestan noted Tatarstan's great experience in the development of information technologies, and gave an errand to his assistants to look into all options for developing cooperation with the republic in this area.

The guest from Dagestan also visited the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, got acquainted with the activities of the residents of the Himgrad Technopolis and visited the Old Tatar Settlement, where they looked around historical and cultural heritage facilities of Tatarstan.
