Rustam Nigmatullin pays a working visit to Sarmanovo region of the republic

On February 20, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin arrived on a working visit in Sarmanovo region of the republic to take part in the summing up meeting of the regional Council.

Before the meeting, Nigmatullin accompanied by the Head of Sarmanovo region Farit Khusnullin took part in the settlement of 24-apartment building for participants of housing programmes of the State Housing Fund.

Then, they visited Sarmanovo Agricultural College, which has been working since 1975. In 2015, the college was granted the status of the resource centre for training specialists for the agricultural sector of the republic. Today, 478 students from 8 regions of the republic are studying here.

Speaking at the meeting, Nigmatullin said that Sarmanovo region has significant development potential.

He emphasized that currently, one of the priorities on the ground is to support military personnel and their families. The families of the armed forces personnel killed in the special military operation require special attention. Rustam Nigmatullin emphasized that in Sarmanovo region work in this direction is organized at a proper level.

A significant number of projects are being implemented under the State programmes. A lot of work on social development is carried out due to Tatneft Oil Company. Within the framework of grant support of the Tatneft, 22 facilities for 92 million roubles were built and repaired in the region.

The most important tasks Nigmatullin called the modernization of housing and communal facilities and additional gasification of settlements.

He emphasized that the Sarmanovo region does not reduce the rate of economic growth. It is expected that the gross territorial product of the region will be about 52 billion roubles in 2022  - this is 14th place in the republic. The volume of industrial production, according to the forecast, will amount to 39 billion roubles, the volume of shipped products will make 5.6 billion roubles.

He also outlined the main tasks in agro-industrial complex, development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the reduction of poverty. At the end of the meeting, Nigmatullin handed in a number of state awards.
