Aide to Tatarstan President on Social Affairs Tatiana Larionova tells about Help Get Ready for School campaign

On July 29, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, it was reported that this year more than 80 children from of Ukrainian refugee families will be provided with school kits within the framework of the regional charity campaign "Help Get Ready for School." By and large, more than 6,000 children are in need of such support in the republic in the coming school year.
The campaign, organized by the Regional Charity Council, Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science, and the regional branch of the United Russia political party, has been held for the eighth year in a row in Tatarstan.
Certain categories of children will receive a schoolbag filled with stationery, notebooks, kits for handicraft and fine art lessons and school uniform. Moreover, books, albums about the historical and cultural heritage of the republic, children's literature taking into account the regional component, “Cultural Diary of a First-Grader” are handed in within the framework of the Year of Culture in the republic.
Aide to Tatarstan President on Social Affairs Tatiana Larionova, who took part in the briefing, said that the average cost of a schoolbag is about 1,700 roubles, stationary - about 1,500-2,000 roubles. For the whole duration of the campaign, help has been provided to 123,096 first-graders from low-income families for the amount of 108.5 million roubles. In particular, 22,930 people received schoolbags amounting to more than 29 million roubles last year, she reported.
It is expected that a total of 39,044 children will go to school for the first time in the coming school year. Six thousand first-graders need help. In particular, they are children from low-income, foster and tutorial, large, disadvantaged families, whose parents are either unemployed or disabled as well as children with disabilities. As before, it is planned to provide charitable assistance to 2nd-11th year students from low-income and large families, as well as to children living with disabled parents and to disabled children. According to preliminary reports, their number makes 6,687 people.
Tatiana Larionova also told reporters that children of refugee families from Ukraine also need support within the framework of the campaign. As of today, there are 181 children from the Ukraine in the republic, including 86 schoolchildren. They as well as children, who will come later, will be given support.
The campaign was officially launched with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in Zainsk on July 7.
On 29 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin attended a rugby game between Strela Ak-Bars (Kazan) and Lokomotiv-Penza teams held at the Mordovia Arena stadium in Saransk with participation of 7 102 spectators.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and confined to the International Day of Historical Monuments and Sites held in the Government House of the republic, the Aid to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova informed that in 2024 the Rebus Forum will be held on 14-15 November. She reminded that in the current year the forum will be named “Aglomerations: Experience, Opportunities. Challenges” and will be held with participation of China “as it will take place during the ROSTCI Forum.”
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with speakers and experts, investors, representatives of start-ups and venture funds, large corporations and development institutes took part in events of the “zero” day of the Russian Venture Forum dedicated to the topic of “Technological Entrepreneurship: the space of highest skills.
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin on behalf of the Government of the republic and the Director of the VOIN Center Igor Kazarezov signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the republic and the Center, which envisages interaction in issues of patriotic upbringing and military and sports training of youngsters.
