Tatarstan and Kamchatka region agree on cooperation

Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation was signed between Tatarstan and Kamchatka region in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The document was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Kamchatka region Vladimir Ilyukhin.
The agreement envisages cooperation in the sphere of transport, construction, forestry, environmental protection, high technologies, tourism, education, inter-ethnic relations, health care, physical culture and sport, youth policy, labour and employment, and social protection.
Vladimir Ilyukhin said that he believes that the agreement has high economic potential. “Especially today, when sanctions are being imposed, we have to support each other. There are huge aquatic bioresources in Kamchatka. Our enterprises produce high-quality products,” the Governor said.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, called for developing “horizontal” communication between Russian regions. “Considering current situation in the world, we should think about domestic demand. Sanctions being imposed on Russia mean that we should search for new sales markets in the country,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that Tatarstan has gained wide experience in supporting small and medium-size business, creation of industrial and technology parks, and innovations.
On the second day of his trip, Rustam Minnikhanov also met with the Governor and visited fishing farm named after Lenin.
At his meeting with members of Tatar-Bashkir community of the region, Rustam Minnikhanov discussed construction of the mosque, staff training in Kazan and provision of textbooks and books written in the native language.
On 29 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin attended a rugby game between Strela Ak-Bars (Kazan) and Lokomotiv-Penza teams held at the Mordovia Arena stadium in Saransk with participation of 7 102 spectators.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and confined to the International Day of Historical Monuments and Sites held in the Government House of the republic, the Aid to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova informed that in 2024 the Rebus Forum will be held on 14-15 November. She reminded that in the current year the forum will be named “Aglomerations: Experience, Opportunities. Challenges” and will be held with participation of China “as it will take place during the ROSTCI Forum.”
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with speakers and experts, investors, representatives of start-ups and venture funds, large corporations and development institutes took part in events of the “zero” day of the Russian Venture Forum dedicated to the topic of “Technological Entrepreneurship: the space of highest skills.
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin on behalf of the Government of the republic and the Director of the VOIN Center Igor Kazarezov signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the republic and the Center, which envisages interaction in issues of patriotic upbringing and military and sports training of youngsters.
