New motorway junction opened in Mendeleevsk region (Tatarstan)

On October 24, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Head of Federal Road Agency Roman Starovoit took part in a solemn event of opening a reconstructed overpass on the Elabuga-Izhevsk-Novomendeleevsky Chemical Plant motorway opened to traffic in Mendeleevsk region of Tatarstan.
The overpass and junction on the Elabuga-Izhevsk motorway ensure a safe route to the Novomendeleevsky Chemical Plant and construction site of the new plant “Ammonii”.
The reconstruction of the overpass started in December 2012 and completed in October 14.
The length of the overpass makes 38.76m with the span length of 33 m. The 10m wide carriageway has two traffic lanes 3.5 m wide each and two safety lanes 1.5 m wide each. Two service paths 0.75 m wide each are also provided. As a result of reconstruction, the design load of the overpass increased, allowing the passage of vehicles with a gross weight of up to 100 tonnes.
At the same time, driveways to the overpass with a total length of 1239 meters were reconstructed. Also, three new pipe culverts were installed. The design speed after reconstruction can reach 80 km/h.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ildar Khalikov thanked road workers for doing work well. According to him, this transport infrastructure facility will improve traffic safety on the road and help attract new investments to Mendeleevsk region and Tatarstan in general.
The distinguished guests turned over the symbolic sign, marking the opening of the reconstructed junction to traffic.
On 29 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin attended a rugby game between Strela Ak-Bars (Kazan) and Lokomotiv-Penza teams held at the Mordovia Arena stadium in Saransk with participation of 7 102 spectators.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and confined to the International Day of Historical Monuments and Sites held in the Government House of the republic, the Aid to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova informed that in 2024 the Rebus Forum will be held on 14-15 November. She reminded that in the current year the forum will be named “Aglomerations: Experience, Opportunities. Challenges” and will be held with participation of China “as it will take place during the ROSTCI Forum.”
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with speakers and experts, investors, representatives of start-ups and venture funds, large corporations and development institutes took part in events of the “zero” day of the Russian Venture Forum dedicated to the topic of “Technological Entrepreneurship: the space of highest skills.
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin on behalf of the Government of the republic and the Director of the VOIN Center Igor Kazarezov signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the republic and the Center, which envisages interaction in issues of patriotic upbringing and military and sports training of youngsters.
