Rustam Minnikhanov invites Governor of California Jerry Brown to visit Tatarstan

On November 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Governor of California Jerry Brown in San Francisco.

Minnikhanov thanked Jerry Brown for the meeting and warm reception in California. He also said that these days Tatarstan delegation is taking part in an annual meeting of American-Russian Business Council in San Fransisco.

“We had meetings with management of some companies in Silicon Valley, visited the Boeing Company in Seattle, discussed possibilities of cooperation in the sphere of state and municipal services with representatives of the Uber сompany. We also have proposals for cooperation in the field of information technology. A big project, the Innopolis special economic zone, is being implemented in the republic,” Tatarstan President said.

According to him, one of the main tasks is to find partners for mutually beneficial cooperation in SEZ "Innopolis".

Tatarstan President said that a lot of American companies are developing their businesses in the republic. Together with the leading American University Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) an IT University was established in SEZ "Innopolis".

Minnikhanov invited Jerry Brown to visit Tatarstan with a business delegation.
