11 February 2017, Saturday

On February 11, reporting on results of work for 2016 at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Government House of the republic, Director General of the Kazan Argo-Industrial Park Oleg Vlasov said that the park can boast of 279 residents, more than 1000 jobs and an annual turnover of 1 bln 350 mln roubles.

The quality of products is a matter of priority of the main agricultural trading site of the republic. Its veterinary laboratory, one of the best in Kazan, always has a lot of work to do: “Last year 122,000 tests of plant and livestock products were carried out and more than 11 tonnes of low-quality products were rejected,” Vlasov said.

The park offers a wide range of products of Tatarstan farmers and large farms, which include 15,000 items.

This year the Kazan Argo-Industrial Park is going to launch its own retail trade project, develop production facilities, increase volume of purchases and sales of products from local producers, continue to attract residents, which should allow the company to increase its profit by 20 per cent.

Minnikhanov asked Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin to make the most use of the afro-industrial park. "We are not using it to its potential," Minnikhanov said.

First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the meeting.
